Annual Grapes of Wrath Stomp and Romp Survival Race September 9, 2017 This 5K extreme run demands endurance to trek through hill and valleys, splash through winding streams, courage to overcome uncompromising obstacles and a complete lack of shame to sludge through dirt and mud all in the name of a good cause. Beside the historic Crystal Palace is the County Youthpark. It provides a great location for people of all ages and interests to congregate. The skatepark and innovative playground are nestled in the corner of the Picton Fairgrounds property (which also holds the Picton Arena, the Prince Edward Curling Club & Crystal Palace).The skatepark is recognized by the skateboarding/biking community as one of Ontario’s best parks. The playground is also very creative and innovative and well used by those in the community. Washrooms on site. During the summer, a canteen is open to sell small food items.

The Wellington Lions Dragon Boat Club is a recreational club for adults of all ages and fitness levels. We paddle in West Lake in Wellington 2 nights a week and we enter local festivals during the summer. Newcomers and experienced paddlers are welcome to join us. Equipment and coaching is provided. New paddlers are welcome to paddle 3 times to see if they are interested in joining our club.

A hockey club for players aged 15 to 20, playing in the Ontario Hockey Association Junior A league. Every season for the past dozen years the Wellington Dukes have finished at, or near the top of the II-tier league. “Parents of hockey-playing kids all over Ontario compete to send their kids to try out for the Dukes. The Wellington and District Community Centre is a public facility used for hockey, skating, special events, weddings, tournaments, etc. Opened in December of 2010, this facility features a regulation NHL size ice pad, walking track, small fitness area, Mini stick hockey rink and a licenced lounge overlooking the ice pad. With natural light and neutral colour schemes the facility can be transformed to match any vision, colour scheme, and event theme. The large Highline Hall can be partitioned in half, depending on your event needs and attendance. Tables, chairs and kitchen are included in the rental. Each end of the Highline Hall is equipped with a ceiling mounted InFocus projector for audio/visual needs and full size screen. With ample parking, easy to find location, and variety of amenities makes this facility an attractive venue. The Wellington and District Community Centre is a larger facility than the Prince Edward Community Centre and can hold a greater number of guests. The Prince Edward Rod and Gun Club (PERGC) is situated on 46 acres, and our facilities consist of a clubhouse, 3 trap houses, a hundred yard outdoor range, which is used for rifle and handguns. We have 3 rifle benches in an enclosed trailer, which enhances shooting in inclement weather. We shoot trap on Sundays from April to November, starting at 10 am. Guests are welcome for all shooting disciplines, but must be accompanied by a member on the rifle range. Please feel free to drop by and visit if you are in The County. We are also looking to expand the membership, if you are interested. Visitor Information Prince Edward Rod and Gun Club is open to visitors every Sunday from 10:30am to 12:30am. All visitors must report to the club house upon arrival. All shooting by visitors must be supervised by club members. Fees – $5.00 per visit, plus regular member charges for trap. Located on Gun Club Road, just off Old Milford Road in Picton.
The ROC hosts several programs throughout the week for youth ages 5 to 18. All programs address three key areas of healthy living: physical, mental and social well-being through skills-based and role-playing activities, fun creative programs, sports, games and mentoring with positive role models.
