County Outings is stepping out into The County again with a series of half-day horn trips this fall.
This is a unique opportunity for you to experience the authentic rural people and wild places not found on the tourist map. Guide Phil Norton has been roaming Prince Edward County’s back roads, rocky shorelines and woodland trails for 12 years and can guarantee you’ll bring back a stunning portfolio of photographs and memories of serendipitous encounters off the beaten track.
There’s a lot more to PEC than its fabulous wineries, art galleries and haute cuisine! Think: driving through tunnels of trees with blazing autumn foliage, stone fences with draft horses grazing by century-old barns, aqua-coloured waves, lighthouses and maritime scenes, donkeys and llamas on a family farm, and migrating birds gathered here to cross Lake Ontario.
Tours begin each Saturday at 9:00 a.m. in Picton and return at 1:00. Sign up for either October 13, 20, or 27. Price is $53 tax included. If you hitch a ride with someone else add $5 for gas sharing.
