Friday October 20, 2017 @ 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, (rain/cloud date, Oct. 21)
Unless it’s too cloudy, join local night sky enthusiast Ramesh Pooran at the Prince Edward Point National
Wildlife Area as he points out what’s up above the County in the October night sky.
The Milky Way, stars and planets will be visible to the naked eye during this two hour event. The planet Saturn, star clusters and nebulae will be brought into focus by two telescopes. You will receive a night sky chart to take home.
If you have binoculars, bring them, as well as a redlight flashlight. (Regular flashlights will interfere with
and not preserve your night vision.)
Dress warmly and take precautions as you would for a hike in the woods.
Event is suitable for children 5 years old and up.
