Saturday August 4 and August 11
If you want to get away from the crowds, the beaches and the wineries and see the wild side of The County, these 4-hour tours include the perfect mix of driving the back roads, walking in natural areas, photography tips, and local food and coffee stops. Meet the authentic rural and village folks and get close-up to farm animals, buy fresh eggs and honey.
Discover this little-known and somewhat inaccessible corner of Prince Edward County, what local naturalists groups are pushing to become a national park. Currently a patchwork of federal and provincial and private wildlife preserves, and mostly unused and unpreserved private land. Birds and wildflowers abound.
Saturday, August 4 and Saturday, August 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. leaving from the parking lot behind Miss Lily’s Cafe in Picton.
More dates will be added to this popular series, named in honour of the late Anthony Bourdain who took viewers to backcountry places in search of delicious food.
