The money is going to support Slow Food the County’s activities, including donations to both The Storehouse Food Bank in Wellington and Picton United Church Food Bank, our healthy snack program, support to Loyalist culinary arts and a micro grant program to independent farmers in conjunction with the National Farmers’ Union.

Once again county wineries will be celebrating the end of the growing season and the burying of the vines.   Tour the wineries and sample new vintages, mulled wines, Christmas treats, shop for wine, stocking stuffers, gifts.

Admission to the craft sale is free. You can also enjoy a delicious lunch — homemade soups, sandwiches and desserts, plus beverages — for just $8.

The Wellington District Lions Club invites all lovers of dogs to join them in raising funds for the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guide programs by walking in their annual Purina Walk for Dog Guides.

Register on line or use a pledge form and help raise funds to provide dog guides for children and adults who need the assistance a dog guide can provide.  All dogs are provided free of charge to eligible applicants.
