Prince Edward County is proud to be the newest community to establish Barn Quilt Trails as part of a North American network of rural art. Come for a drive and explore our beautiful island community!
Barn Quilts draw attention to disappearing rural landscapes, timber frame barns and the family farm. Barn Quilts tell a story, draw attention to unmarked historical places and create a year-round themed route for residents and visitors alike that celebrates rural culture and the traditional arts.
Here in PEC, the initial trail starts from the Picton roundabout heading west and turns left onto County Road 32 (Mallory Road). Upon the end of County Road 32, the trail turns right onto County Road 12 (Stanley Street) and rejoins Highway 33 via Mill Street in Bloomfield. Other locations are popping up all over the County as well!
If you are a visitor … Welcome! Enjoy driving or cycling our newest trail … the Barn Quilts Trail!
