The Wellington and District Community Centre is a public facility used for hockey, skating, special events, weddings, tournaments, etc. Opened in December of 2010, this facility features a regulation NHL size ice pad, walking track, small fitness area, Mini stick hockey rink and a licenced lounge overlooking the ice pad. With natural light and neutral colour schemes the facility can be transformed to match any vision, colour scheme, and event theme. The large Highline Hall can be partitioned in half, depending on your event needs and attendance. Tables, chairs and kitchen are included in the rental. Each end of the Highline Hall is equipped with a ceiling mounted InFocus projector for audio/visual needs and full size screen.
With ample parking, easy to find location, and variety of amenities makes this facility an attractive venue.
The Wellington and District Community Centre is a larger facility than the Prince Edward Community Centre and can hold a greater number of guests. Hosting large tournaments or events is a possibility at this facility. With the capacity to have 1225 people in the viewing stands, 120 people in the lobby, 60 in the lounge, and 100 in the multi-purpose room, the Wellington and District Community Centre has a total capacity of 1505 guests.
