The County is the second largest area of Loyalist architecture, second to Williamsburg. Tour the Loyalist Parkway/ highway #33, which runs from Trenton to Kingston.

The United Empire Loyalists, many of whom helped found America from the early 17th century, remained loyal to King George III after the British defeat in the American Revolutionary War.  Many left the United States to build the new nation of Canada.
