Point Petre Wildlife Conservation Area
Beachcomb on the long pebble beach for driftwood and fossils, swim off the big flat limestone ledges, it’s a quiet beautiful place for a picnic – but remember to leave only footprints behind!
During spring and fall migration, it is one of the finest birding areas in Canada. Point Petre is an important stopover for mallard, black duck, blue- and green-winged teal, wood duck, hooded merganser, lesser and greater scaup, bufflehead and common merganser. See birding info.
Directions: From Picton follow County Rd 10 south to Cty Rd 24 which will take you to the point. See map.
