It’s that peaceful, calming feeling when you finally arrive at one of the 401 exits guiding you to Prince Edward County. It’s the slowing down of your heartbeat and putting life’s stresses behind you as you await a welcoming place. An island where even simple things like a friendly wave from a stranger walking along a country road seems so symbolic of life in this aquatic-framed oasis. And it’s that sense of feeling part of something – whether it’s strolling along one of the shopping districts, savouring the bountiful wines, or revelling in the visual and tactile creations of local artists. For visitors, it’s a place that merits repeated visits. For residents, it’s a paradise we call, home.

Margaret Haylock‎ :: For those born in the County, it becomes as much a part of them as the colour of their eyes. It is a way of life, a place rich in history and breathtaking scenery. It’s a county fair, street dances, festivals, penny carnivals, and church suppers. It’s also a progressive place of exciting new initiatives – wineries, craft breweries, fine restaurants, and an Innovation Centre among others. It is Ontario’s Camelot. It is a wonderful place to grow up and a caring community of friends and neighbours in which to grow old. It is home.

Lynda Matthews Elliott‎ :: How can you not love the County. My husband and I, on the recommendation of my brother and sister in law, bought a lovely little spot in the County 17 years ago and have never for one second regretted it. I think we have travelled almost every road and I’m sure some many times over in the County and are always amazed at how beautiful it is and are always very proud to show it off to family and friends who come to visit. Can’t think of anywhere else I would rather spend my time than the County.

Lynne McMullan‎ :: I love PEC Barn Quilt Trails! It’s my favorite County attraction as its colorful quilt squares can be seen throughout The County where it can be seen and enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. It’s also indicative of our fabulous County heritage!
